I love this journal in particular! Just looking at it reminds me of my girl...Charlie! The girl with the "Red Heart Balloons"! This is one of my favorite patterns because it reminds me of a conversation I often have with Charlie. She tells me all the time, how she wanted to be an astronaut, so she could go into outer space to find her red heart balloon she released with her brother on her birthday. I love her imagination. So creative!
I am so inspired and encouraged by this new series of journals I am currently working on. This series was created to represent our life's journey back to the Garden...back to the place He created us...back to sovereignty and holiness. This journey is ongoing. He gives us the compass and He holds the map. He knows the destination and terrain, watching the whole way. He takes us through the mountains and the valleys, yet the entire time, He is the Immanent Covering for us, in the impending storms within the journey. The Compass, the Giver of direction, is the best tool we could ever have. We have access to it at all times. He gives us Holy Spirit as the indicator. The One who leads us into our destiny or destination if you will.
The Back to the Garden Series, is inspired by a song called "Invitation" by Molly Skaggs. As she so beautifully sings, that journey is an "invitation for more". It is speaks of "a great big Someone living inside out of little me" and how He is calling and calling me back to the Garden. I have realized over the years, that is the very journey I have been on with Holy Spirit and every moment I have recorded in the journals I have created...is the journey "Back to the Garden."
Lyrics to "Invitation" [Verse 1:] More than a pot of gold More than the finest silver More than the precious jewels upon my fingers Is who You are [Verse 2:] More than the grains of sand More than the flowers in the field More than the twinkling stars against black velvet skies Is who You are [Chorus 1:] There's a greater something An invitation for more There's a great big Someone Living inside out of little me He's calling, calling Calling me back to the Garden [Verse 3:] Do you have all the courage Do you have the greater faith Than just to simply breathe in All of the greatness of who you are | [Verse 4:] Do you know that I have seen Do you know You're singing my song And in your mighty chest there is a heart That beats for Me [Chorus 2:] There's a greater something An invitation for more There's a great big Someone Living inside out of little me He's calling, calling Calling, He's calling [Interlude:] [Bridge:] He's calling He's calling He's calling, calling He's calling He's calling He's calling, calling He's calling [Outro:] He's calling, calling Calling me back to the Garden |
